Zestra's^® Clinical Trials

Zestra has been established — in two clinical trials — to increase a woman's feelings of desire and arousal.

Results from the first clinical trial – a small pilot study of women with and without sexual issues — were published in 2003 by the Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy. In 2007, a large clinical trial was conducted at 13 leading sexual health centers across the US. Results of this large-scale study will be published this summer.

What you and your patients need to know:

• Zestra is hormone-free and paraben-free.
• Zestra has no reported interactions with any medications.
• Zestra is harmless if ingested.
• Zestra should not be used by women who have a known allergy to any of its ingredients.
• Zestra should NOT be used with latex condoms. Zestra is safe to use with polyurethane condoms ONLY.
• Zestra should not be used by pregnant or lactating women, or women who are trying to conceive.
• Zestra should not be used by women with any type of vaginal infection, lesion, laceration or irritation.
